Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 11-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.

Author Guidelines

Journal of Academic Finance is a bilingual journal that publishes theoretical, empirical and / or critical texts focusing on one or more dimensions of finance in the world. It is devoted to the publication of documents
High quality research in all areas of scientific research, finance, accounting, economics and social sciences.
Your original manuscript submitted, in MS-Word, OpenOffice, RTF, or WordPerfect , is double blind peer-reviewed and you will be informed of their decision within 2 to 4 weeks.

  • The authors are committed to submit only original work. Therefore, submitted manuscript and already published research are unethical and unacceptable;
  • The manuscripts should include sufficient details and references for replication purposes;
  • Only significantly contributing citations should be listed in the manuscripts.
  • The corresponding authors take full responsibility for the content and all legal aspects of their manuscripts.
  • The authors should communicate any applicable funding or financial support of the research and the funder's relation to the contribution as well as acknowledge the research of others by citing their work;
  • The authors are commited to inform the editor about discovered errors in their already published manuscripts.

Standards for authors

Presentation :

  • The first page will include:

- the title of the article; in French and English (lowercase letter);

- the names and institutions of the authors, specifying the name and address of the author to contact (lowercase first names and uppercase last names);

- a summary of a dozen lines in French and English containing the following 4 points: the purpose, the methodology, the results, the originality of the paper;

- keywords (maximum 7);

  • Simple-spaced typewritten articles will be between 15,000 and 35,000 characters, or 7 to 15 pages long, Police Colibri 11.
  • Pages, tables, figures and graphs will be numbered (Arabic numerals).
  • The heading hierarchy will consist of two levels, ie titles and subtitles.
  • Notes, the use of which will be moderate, will be placed at the bottom of each page in the order 1,2,3, ...
  • Bibliography: any reference will be indicated in the text by the name (s) of (s) authors followed (s) of the year of publication. In the case of multiple authors, they will be separated by a comma. For example, "One method has been proposed (Chow, 1997) or (Chow, 1997)". In the case of several publications by the same author in the same year, the letters a, b, ... will be added after the year. The references will then be collated in the alphabetical bibliography according to the name of the first author as follows:

AUTHOR NAME 1, Initial Given Name, AUTHOR NAME 2, Initial First Name, Year, "Title Article", Title Review, Volume, Number, Start Page-End Page (for an article or a communication); eg. : p. 1 or pp. 1-3.

AUTHOR NAME 1, Initial Given Name, AUTHOR NAME 2, Initial First Name, Year, Title, Publisher or Title Report (for a book or report).

Publication:

A black and white digital identity photograph and a bionote will be provided by the author.
